
Investigation underway for Rt. 104 crash in Williamson
A tragic incident occurred in Sodus, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old male following a collision between a truck and a motorcycle. The driver of the pickup truck, 41-year-old Robert C. Meyers from Webster, was allegedly driving under the influence when he rear-ended the motorcycle as it slowed down to turn left on State Route 104. The victim was ejected from the motorcycle and sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Meyers, found to be impaired after a DWI investigation, faces charges of second-degree vehicular manslaughter and two counts of driving while intoxicated. The area around the intersection of Route 104 and North Centenary Road in Williamson was closed off for the police inquiry, impacting the intersection of Route 104 and Pratt Road as well. The New York State Police state that the investigation is ongoing.
