Investigation underway for deadly collision on Hilton Head Island

The collision happened around 12:55 a.m. on Main Street, where a 2004 Subaru Legacy traveling east veered off the road and struck a tree after hitting a curb. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, tragically passed away at the accident site, as stated by Master Trooper Hannah Davidson. The identity of the driver has not yet been disclosed, and anyone seeking more information about the deceased is urged to reach out to the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office.
