
Investigation reveals causes of fatal Green River tunnel incident
On Wednesday, the National Transportation Safety Board provided initial findings regarding the fatal Wyoming tunnel accident that occurred close to the Green River in the previous month. The report disclosed that on February 14, 2025, at approximately 11:33 AM, a 2006 Toyota Tundra Pickup truck was leaving the tunnel and traveling west in the left lane. The vehicle then skidded due to loss of traction, spun around, and collided with a metal guardrail. As a result, the truck came to a halt, obstructing traffic in the left lane as stated in the NTSB document.
