23-year-old man from Bloomington dies in fireworks mishap
A Bloomington man tragically passed away following a fireworks-related incident in Monroe County over the weekend. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office responded to the location on W. Tabor Hill Road where 23-year-old Tyler Pinkley sustained fatal injuries. It was reported that Pinkley was trying to ignite a large mortar by holding it above his head, despite attempts by witnesses to intervene. The incident has been determined as accidental by local authorities.
