Investigation into deadly one-car accident on Big Island
Authorities in Hawaii are currently looking into a tragic single-car collision on Makuʻu Drive that led to the death of a woman in her 40s. The woman, who was driving at the time, crashed into a rock wall and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital where she was later declared deceased. It is suspected that alcohol may have played a role in the accident, and police mentioned that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt and might have been distracted while driving. The investigation into the incident is still in progress.
