Injury to Elk Grove police officer in collision
An Elk Grove police officer was injured in a traffic accident Friday afternoon near the intersection of Elk Grove Boulevard and Auto Center Drive. The officer, who was riding a motorcycle, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The intersection is expected to reopen by 3:30 p.m. This incident comes shortly after another collision involving an Elk Grove police officer on a motorcycle a few weeks ago, in which no injuries were reported.
