Identity of the victim in fatal Columbia River crash in Portland revealed

In early August, authorities in Portland, Oregon, reported a car found overturned in the Columbia River without its driver. Sadly, it was confirmed that the individual, identified as Guillermo Soto Briceno, a 43-year-old Portland resident, had passed away in the crash. The incident occurred at the intersection of Northeast Marine Drive and Northeast 122nd Avenue when the car broke through a guardrail and went into the water. Despite extensive search efforts involving Portland Fire and Rescue, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, and the U.S. Coast Guard, the driver's body was not discovered immediately. Only later was the tragic news delivered to Briceno's family by the Portland Police Bureau.
