Identified: Victim of Deadly Middleburgh Collision
In Middleburgh, New York, authorities have identified the individual who tragically lost their life in a car accident on July 29. The incident occurred on State Route 145 at around 1:30 p.m. when a car making a left turn onto Schoharie Hill Road was struck by a northbound vehicle. Melissa Guest, a 49-year-old from Jefferson and a passenger in the turning car, suffered severe injuries and unfortunately passed away at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles and the four passengers in the second car were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The affected section of State Route 145 was closed for more than four hours during the investigation. The case is still under active investigation by authorities.
