Identification of victim in deadly wrong-way collision on I-787

The victim of a fatal collision on I-787 in Albany has been identified by New York State Police. The incident, which took place on Sunday morning, involved a wrong-way driver in the northbound lanes near exit 2. The northbound driver, Eric Hurley, 38 years old from Albany, sustained severe injuries and did not survive. The wrong-way driver was transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and remains in the hospital. State Police have not made any charges or arrests related to this incident as of Monday afternoon and are continuing their investigation. In a separate crash on the same road on Sunday, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals, an Albany woman was arrested by State Police on Monday.
