Idaho State Police investigate head-on crash involving semi, car in Canyon County
A Homedale man was killed early Monday morning in a head-on crash with a commercial vehicle in Canyon County, Idaho. Idaho State Police said the two-vehicle collision happened at 2:33 a.m. near Simplot Boulevard and Farmway Road. Investigators said a 2001 Kenworth commercial vehicle was traveling westbound on Simplot Boulevard when a 2010 Ford Fusion traveling eastbound crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Kenworth. The Kenworth driver, a 57-year-old man from American Falls, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, police said. The Ford driver, described as a middle-aged man from Homedale, died at the scene. The roadway remained blocked and the crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
