I-70 reopens both ways near Oak Grove exit following cattle trailer crash
Interstate 70 has been reopened in both directions near Oak Grove following a multi-vehicle accident involving a cattle trailer. The Missouri Department of Transportation reported that the presence of cattle in the area complicated the cleanup process. The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 13 cattle escaped during the crash but were all safely recovered by 8:15 p.m. The incident involved two tractor-trailer trucks travelling westbound, with one of them carrying the cattle. Both vehicles veered off the road during the collision, with one hitting the crossover cables and the other going off the right side of the highway. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for either of the drivers. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the matter, and ongoing updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
