A fatal accident on Tuesday morning caused the closure of I-40 WB at mile marker 239 in Lebanon, but the road has now been reopened. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that a 2025 Volvo TT was stationary in lane 1 due to congestion resulting from an earlier crash, when a 2009 Chevy Silverado collided with it from behind.
