I-25 closed after driver flees 2-car crash on I-25 and is killed in crash with 3rd car
DENVER (KDVR) — Interstate 25 was closed near Fort Collins Thursday evening for a deadly crash. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the incident started as a two-vehicle crash under the Harmony Road bridge on I-25. One vehicle reportedly rear-ended the other. There were no injuries from the initial crash, but one of the drivers fled the crash on foot. CSP said they were then struck by a vehicle. The driver was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. CSP plans to reopen the northbound lanes of I-25, but southbound lanes will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time during the investigation. Both other drivers are cooperating with the investigation, CSP said.
