Head-on crash leaves 1 dead in southern Idaho
CANYON COUNTY, Idaho (ABC4) — One person is dead after a head-on crash in Canyon County, Idaho, early Monday morning, according to Idaho State Police. At around 2:30 a.m. on May 25, police responded to a two-vehicle collision in Canyon County, near Simplot Boulevard and Farmway Road. According to police, a 2001 Kenworth commercial vehicle was headed westbound on Simplot Boulevard when a 2010 Ford Fusion heading eastbound crossed the center line and crashed head-on with the Kenworth. An American Falls man, 57, was driving the Kenworth and was injured in the crash. The driver of the Ford, described as a middle-aged Homedale man, was declared deceased on scene. This incident is currently under investigation by Idaho State Police. The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time.
