Hastings woman sentenced in connection to fatal crash
A Hastings woman has been sentenced in connection to a fatal crash in Adams County last year. According to Adams County Court records, Brenda Willnerd, 59, was sentenced Monday to one year of probation. According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, on Aug. 3, 2025, deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Highway 6 and Marian Road. The investigation determined Willnerd was eastbound driving a Jeep Cherokee on Highway 6 when she turned north and collided with a westbound motorcycle driven by William Humburg of Hastings. Humburg later died from his injuries. In addition to her sentencing, Willnerd was ordered to pay $4,311 in restitution.
