Greensboro crash leaves one dead after vehicle collides with a fire hydrant, fence, and tree
A 34-year-old man died Sunday night following a single-car crash in Greensboro, according to police.Officers with the Greensboro Police Department, along with Greensboro Fire and Guilford County EMS, responded to a crash with injuries around 10:09 p.m. in the 100 block of Wesley Harris Circle.Click the video player above to watch the latest headlines from WXII 12 News.Investigators say Shaki M. Thornhill was driving a Honda Civic on Pisgah Church Road when he crossed left of center and ran off the road. The vehicle then struck a fire hydrant, a fence, and a tree.Thornhill was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police said his family has been notified.The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate.
