Gas line secured after crash on N Kings Highway sends 2 to the hospital

A crash on Monday morning caused a gas leak and sent two people to the hospital, according to Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR). Officials said the two-vehicle crash happened in the 9700 block of North Kings Highway. Officials said a commercial building was hit, and all lanes of North Kings Highway traffic were blocked. The roadway has since reopened to traffic. Utility equipment was damaged, which crews said caused an active gas leak.
