Four-car collision with Guthrie basketball team bus, no injuries mentioned

A school bus from Guthrie Public Schools carrying the High School basketball team was in a collision on Friday on Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City. The accident occurred around 1:45 p.m. The bus was en route to Weatherford for a boys High School basketball game when it was involved in a crash on I-44 near NW 23rd Street. Four vehicles were part of the accident, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. The boys basketball team will travel back to Guthrie in another bus and still plans to participate in their final tournament game on Saturday. Guthrie Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson expressed gratitude for the absence of injuries and praised Coach Nathan Pennypacker and staff for their care of the students. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
