Fort Lauderdale officials report serious injuries in jet ski crash involving teens
A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon involving a personal watercraft in the Intracoastal Waterway, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old girl and leaving another teen girl in critical condition at a local hospital. The crash took place near NE 24th Court, with the girls aboard one watercraft when it collided with a dock. Both girls sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to Broward Health Medical Center. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, with Fort Lauderdale police at the scene and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission leading the inquiry.
