FM 1431 shut down near Lago Vista after fatal crash
AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that shut down FM 1431 in Lago Vista on Friday evening. The Lago Vista Police Department posted about the crash on social media just after 5:30 p.m. The department said lanes in both directions of FM 1431 are shut down near Tessera Parkway. The road will remain closed "for an extended period," LVPD said, as deputies conduct an accident reconstruction in the area. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
