Firetruck driver trapped in collision while en route to Clearfield County house fire
In Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, a firetruck on its way to a house fire in Woodland was in a collision that resulted in the driver being trapped inside. The Hope Fire Company mentioned that the incident took place as Engine Tanker 16 from the BJW Fire Company was responding to a fire in Bradford Township. Fortunately, all occupants of the house managed to exit safely. The firetruck hit a tree after sliding on icy roads, leaving the driver pinned inside. The driver was later hospitalized due to severe pain in multiple areas, while a passenger was also taken to the hospital after being shaken up. With winter weather conditions causing hazardous driving conditions, first responders emphasize the importance of staying cautious on the roads, highlighting that accidents can occur regardless of vehicle size.
