A funeral is being held Wednesday for Massachusetts State Police Trooper Kevin Trainor, who was killed in a wrong-way crash in Lynnfield last week. Trainor, 30, died early Wednesday morning after his police vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver on Route 1 in Lynnfield. The wrong-way driver also died in the crash.Hundreds of law enforcement officers from Massachusetts and across the country are gathered at St. James Church in Salem.Gov. Maura Healey spoke and addressed Trainor's mother, Barbara, his fiancée, Jessica, and several siblings.“I want you to know, Barbara, that you did everything right. You raised a hero. You raised a son who was drawn to service, a son who gave his life so others could live,” Healey said. Trainor was traveling home from work along Route 1 one week ago when he heard reports about the wrong-way driver. While Trainor was on his way to investigate the incident, his cruiser was struck."Trooper Trainor laid down his life so others could live theirs. He did that not by chance, but by choice. The choice to serve and protect, no matter the risk, and that is what makes him a true hero," Healey said.Video Below: Gov. Maura Healey honors Trooper TrainorMassachusetts State Police Col.
