Fatality reported in crash on FM 665.
UPDATE AT 4:53 PM: The individual who perished in a collision involving two vehicles on the morning of Saturday has been identified as Angelita Chavez, aged 60. EARLIER REPORT: An individual lost their life following a crash near the intersection of FM 665 and County Road 43. Sgt. Harold Mallory of the Department of Public Safety reported that a collision occurred around 11:20 a.m. near Petronila. A Dodge Ram Pickup rear-ended a Nissan Rogue that was stationary eastbound on FM 665, causing the Rogue to overturn at the southeast corner of the intersection. Unfortunately, the Rogue's driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The pickup driver was transported to a nearby hospital. The Department of Public Safety mentioned that the incident remains under investigation.
