Fatal Wrong-Way Crash Riverside 91 Freeway in Corona

Deadly Collision on Westbound SR-91, Near Main Street RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (April 14, 2025) -- A fatal wrong-way driver crash happened Sunday on the Riverside (91) Freeway near Main Street in Corona. The traffic accident, involving a vehicle and a semi-truck, occurred just four minutes after midnight on April 13th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Stephen Palacios, 35, of Rancho Cucamonga, was badly injured in the collision and transported by ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital. However, the motorist later died from his injuries around 1:39 a.m. at the hospital, the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner reports. It's unknown if there were others injured in the wrong-way crash on the 91 Freeway. The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation into the crash. Legal Questions?
