Fatal wrong-way crash on I-285 leaves one dead and one injured
A fatal crash occurred on Interstate 285 northbound near the Benjamin E. Mays Bridge involving a wrong-way driver and resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to another. Atlanta police reported the incident took place around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. The collision was a result of the 21-year-old driver traveling against traffic and colliding with a car driven by a 40-year-old man. Unfortunately, the 40-year-old driver lost their life in the accident, while the 21-year-old driver sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The Atlanta Police Department is currently investigating the details of the crash.
