Fatal truck crash shuts down IN-37 near Harlan
A deadly accident near Harlan has led to the closure of IN-37 in Allen County. The incident involved a flatbed truck and a car on Barnett Rd and State Road 37, not far from Harlan. The car was heading northeast on IN-37 when the driver crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with the southwest-bound flatbed truck. Sadly, the 19-year-old driver of the car lost their life in the crash, while the truck driver emerged unharmed. Indiana TrafficWise has reported that State Road 37 has been shut down in both directions near the accident site. The road is expected to reopen within the next hour, as per the Allen County Sheriff's Department's update at 9:43 a.m.
