Fatal tractor-trailer collision involving Minnesota driver on I-75 at Wade Green Road
A man from Wood Lake, Minnesota, tragically passed away on Friday morning following a fatal accident involving his tractor-trailer at the Wade Green Road exit on Interstate 75 in Cobb County. The 63-year-old driver, Jeffrey Tanke, lost control of his 2025 International tractor-trailer while driving southbound on I-75 around 5:50 a.m. The truck collided with a guard rail at the exit ramp, veered off the roadway, and overturned onto its side on the ramp. Tanke was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by authorities, who are seeking information from witnesses.
