Fatal single-vehicle crash reported on I-10 in Okaloosa County
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic crash that killed two people. It happened about 4:42 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 10 (State Road 8) in the area of Mile Marker 51. Troopers say a silver Dodge Ram, traveling eastbound on the interstate, left the roadway and struck a tree on the south shoulder. The driver was a 65-year-old man from San Antonio, Texas. The passenger was a female, also from San Antonio. Both succumbed to their injuries sustained in the collision. It is unknown at this time if the overnight rain contributed to the cause of the crash.
