Fatal plane crash near Erie Airport claims 2 lives
A news update from Erie Police Department has reported that a plane crashed in Erie on Sunday afternoon, east of the runway at Erie Airport, involving a single aircraft. Two individuals were onboard the plane during the crash and unfortunately, there were no survivors. Emergency responders from Mountain View Fire Rescue and Erie police are currently at the crash site. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are en route to investigate the incident. As a result, Erie Airport is currently closed as authorities conduct their investigation.
