Fatal motorcycle crash victims identified on Austin Bluffs Parkway

Authorities in Colorado Springs have revealed the identities of the individuals involved in a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred last month. The El Paso County Coroner's Office has confirmed that the motorcycle driver was Christopher Dumas, 35 years old, and the passenger was Abra Munoz, 42 years old. The incident took place on June 29 at around 4 p.m. on the 4600 Block of Austin Bluffs Parkway near Barnes Road. Upon responding to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle, emergency responders found both the rider and passenger of the motorcycle deceased. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene. According to the initial review, the vehicle was heading north on Austin Bluffs Parkway and attempted a left turn at a non-permitted location, resulting in a collision with the motorcyclist traveling eastbound in the left lane. The Colorado Springs Police Department reported that this incident marks the 22nd and 23rd traffic-related fatalities in the city this year; during the same period last year, there were 30 deaths.
