Fatal motorcycle crash in Stark County
A tragic incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Jackson Township, Stark County, resulting in the death of a man involved in a crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the accident took place at around 1:20 p.m. on Frank Avenue near Mega Street. Larry Jeffries Jr., 58, was driving a 2000 Indian Chief motorcycle south on Frank Ave. when a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 24-year-old Luca Stambaug attempted a left-hand turn from the far right lane onto Mega Street, leading to a collision between the motorcycle and the Silverado. Jeffries Jr. was rushed to Mercy Hospital in Canton where he tragically succumbed to internal injuries sustained in the collision. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, as reported by OSHP.
