Fatal motorcycle crash in Pennsylvania leaves 60-year-old man dead
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. — A 60-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash in Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon. According to KDKA, the crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. on Wilmington Road near Mama Jane's Eatery and involved a motorcycle and another vehicle. Police identified the motorcyclist as Bryan Scheidemantle, 60. He suffered serious injuries in the crash. Scheidemantle was transported by ambulance to a nearby landing zone where a medical helicopter was waiting. However, officials said he could not be flown because of the severity of his injuries and was instead taken by ambulance to UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said the driver and passenger in the other vehicle were not injured. Pennsylvania State Police assisted at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
