Fatal motorcycle accident in Independence.
The Independence Police Department is currently looking into a tragic incident that occurred on Tuesday night involving a motorcycle and a parked car. A Harley Davidson Motorcycle was reported to be driving in the wrong direction on 44th Terrace when it collided with a Kia Soul that was parked. Both vehicles caught fire after the crash. Emergency services responded to the scene, where they found the motorcycle rider, who unfortunately passed away in the accident. The rider was not wearing a helmet at the time. The Kia Soul was empty during the incident. The authorities are continuing to investigate the crash with the help of the Crash Investigations Unit.
