Fatal Marion County crash: 1 killed in overturned vehicle accident, authorities report
An unfortunate incident occurred early Sunday morning in Ocala, where a minivan driver lost their life in a single-vehicle crash. The Ocala Police Department responded to the incident on N US 441 at 2:43 a.m. Traffic Homicide investigators from the department arrived to look into the crash. According to reports, the driver of a Mazda minivan was speeding and driving recklessly while traveling northbound on US 441. The vehicle veered off the road, hit a concrete culvert, became airborne, and overturned before colliding with a palm tree and a concrete wall. The driver, who was ejected from the vehicle, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by police.
