Fatal incident at construction site in Ridgefield claims life of Danbury man.
Authorities in Ridgefield, Conn., reported on Tuesday that a construction worker who was injured on the job last week has passed away. The 69-year-old man from Danbury was hurt while working on a building on East Ridge Road on Oct. 10. He was taken to the hospital but unfortunately died a few hours later. Early reports indicate that the man was part of a group working on the building's exterior when a wooden overhang collapsed and struck him. The Ridgefield Police Department, along with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, is continuing the investigation.
