Fatal hit-and-run on I-280 in Daly City after driver exits car

After a multi-car collision on Interstate Highway 280, a Vallejo man lost his life when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver as he stood outside his vehicle. The crash had initially involved four vehicles and resulted in minor injuries, with the vehicles blocking a lane. During the investigation, it was discovered that one of the drivers involved had been under the influence of alcohol. The CHP is now searching for information to identify the dark-colored vehicle that struck the victim, which would show fresh damage on the passenger side and have a loud exhaust system.
