Fatal hit-and-run on Detroit's east side
A hit-and-run crash on Detroit's east side Saturday evening left a woman dead and injured three others, as reported by the police. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Chalmers and Seymour streets. According to investigators, a driver violated a red light at the intersection, causing a collision involving three vehicles. Sadly, a female victim in one of the cars passed away. The three other adults involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver responsible for the crash fled the scene, and authorities were actively searching for them. Earlier that morning, another woman died and two individuals were hospitalized after a separate crash on Detroit's west side at Schaefer Highway and Puritan Avenue.
