Fatal hit-and-run crash in Hanover Twp under investigation
The Butler County police department is currently looking into a tragic incident involving a fatal crash that took place in Hanover Township on Saturday morning. The crash happened around 5:44 a.m. near the intersection of Reily Millville Road and Woodbine Road. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man in the middle of the roadway who was later pronounced dead by first responders. Officials have not released the identity of the deceased individual. Authorities suspect that the man was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Reily Millville Road, which then reportedly left the scene. Following the crash, police received a 911 call from a person who claimed to have accidentally run over the man on the road. It is still unclear whether this caller was the same individual who struck the man or another passerby.
