Fatal high-speed crash ejects man in Riverside County.

A tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning in Riverside County, leading to the death of a man who was thrown from a vehicle during a high-speed collision, as confirmed by authorities. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported that deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff's Station responded to the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Old Mountain Avenue after receiving reports of an unresponsive individual on the roadway around 1:24 a.m. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an adult male patient in the intersection and administered lifesaving efforts, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Subsequently, investigators found an abandoned vehicle approximately 200 feet away with significant damage from the crash. A preliminary inquiry revealed that the vehicle was speeding northbound on Mountain Avenue when the driver lost control, resulting in the ejection of the victim. The vehicle crossed the road before halting, and no other vehicles were involved. The investigation is ongoing, and further information about the deceased has not been disclosed. Following the fatal collision, a section of Mountain Avenue between 7th Street and Esplanade Avenue was temporarily closed for investigation purposes.
