Fatal crash on Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County
New York State Police are currently investigating a tragic two-car collision that happened in Clinton on May 4th. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on the Taconic State Parkway. The crash involved a southbound Toyota Corolla driven by 19-year-old Jhonny Polanco from Bloomingburg which crossed the median into oncoming traffic, leading to a collision with a northbound Ford Mustang driven by 30-year-old Robert Clark Jr. from Wappingers Falls. Both drivers, Polanco and Clark, tragically lost their lives in the collision, with Polanco ejected from his vehicle and Clark trapped in his car. The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation are actively looking into the details of the incident.
