Fatal crash on Milwaukee's south side
A fatal collision occurred in the south side of Milwaukee on Tuesday night, resulting in one casualty. The incident, which took place near 93rd Street and Wilbur Avenue around 6:50 p.m., involved a 60-year-old driver who was driving at a high speed on Wilbur Avenue before losing control and colliding with a tree. Tragically, a 41-year-old passenger in the SUV lost their life. The 12 News video footage captured the aftermath showing a significantly damaged SUV, airbags deployed, debris spread across the road, and car parts strewn in a nearby yard. The driver, with non-life-threatening injuries, was apprehended and taken to a local hospital. Authorities are currently assessing the case for potential charges under the oversight of the Milwaukee County district attorney's office.
