All lanes of eastbound Interstate 80 near the Leisure Town Road onramp in Vacaville have been reopened following a fatal collision on Wednesday morning. The California Highway Patrol has reported that a Sacramento man, a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, lost his life. The specifics leading to the accident remain uncertain. A SigAlert was issued around 7:20 a.m. to notify drivers of the road closure, with the slow lane reopening just before 8 a.m. and all lanes restored by 10:30 a.m. Law enforcement suspect that alcohol or exhaustion may have played a role in the incident, but the deceased man's identity has not yet been disclosed.
