Fatal crash leaves man dead, woman in critical condition in Southwest Chicago, per police

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday night in Chicago's Southwest Side resulting in the death of a man and critical injuries to a woman following a two-car collision on South Pulaski Road. The crash, which happened around 8:30 p.m. involved a black sedan and a silver sedan traveling north. The collision occurred when the silver sedan attempted to switch lanes from the outer to inner lane. The driver of the black sedan, a 22-year-old man, lost control and hit a light pole in the median, causing both him and an adult female passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, the man lost his life at the scene, while the woman was rushed to Christ Hospital in critical condition with a leg injury. The individuals in the silver sedan were unharmed. Authorities continue to investigate the incident with no additional injuries reported.
