
Fatal crash involving two vehicles in Streamwood led to woman's death
A woman tragically passed away in Streamwood after a collision involving two vehicles on Saturday afternoon. Police were called to the scene at the intersection of East Schaumburg Road and Timber Trail following reports of a severe accident. The incident occurred when a 2008 Toyota, driven by a 43-year-old woman, was making a left turn from Timber Trail onto Schaumburg Road and was struck by an eastbound 2007 BMW. The woman was the only person in the Toyota and sustained serious injuries. She was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. Authorities are withholding her identity until her family is informed. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash is currently being investigated by the Streamwood Police Department.
