Fatal crash in Washington Co. due to driver losing control
The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle accident on Sunday evening along the Fall Line Freeway close to Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Deputies discovered a single car involved in the accident, where it seemed the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned multiple times. Sadly, a passenger, identified as 51-year-old Samantha Zimerla from Harrison, Georgia, was ejected from the car and passed away due to the injuries sustained. The driver, on the other hand, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Washington County Medical Center for treatment. It is yet unknown whether any charges will be pressed in relation to the incident.
