Fatal crash in the Upstate caused by driver hitting embankment, say troopers
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently looking into a tragic accident that occurred in Union County on Wednesday afternoon. The incident took place around 1 p.m. on Cudd Lane at Bailey Town Road, approximately six miles north of Union. Reportedly, a 2018 Toyota Camry was heading east on Cudd Lane when it veered off the road and collided with an embankment. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was fatally injured and did not survive the crash. The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.
