Fatal crash in San Angelo caused by failure to give way
A tragic accident took place at the junction of US 87 Northbound and FM 2105 in San Angelo, Texas on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 3:30 p.m. Initial findings from the Texas Department of Public Safety reveal that a collision occurred between a 2008 Ford F-150 Pickup heading west on FM 2105 and a 2002 Ford F-150 Pickup traveling north on US 87. The driver of the 2008 Ford failed to adhere to the stop sign at FM 2105 and U.S. 87, consequently being struck by the 2002 Ford operated by a 19-year-old male from San Angelo. Tragically, Steven Lake Tucker, the driver of the 2008 Ford, was declared deceased by Dr. Mavromaus. The passenger in the 2008 Ford, a 62-year-old male from San Angelo, sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the 2002 Ford was unharmed. Weather conditions at the time were recorded as dry and clear. The incident was thoroughly examined by the Texas Highway Patrol, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, and the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
