Fatal crash in Mission Valley
One person was killed and another person was injured in a collision that occurred at 5:30 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 93 in Lake County. The incident involved two vehicles and took place near mile marker 27 by Ravalli. A man aged 35 from Arlee lost his life in the accident, and a woman, also 35 years old from St. Ignatius, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Honda Civic in the wrong direction on the highway when he crashed head-on with a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was declared dead at the hospital. The Montana Highway Patrol is currently investigating this tragic incident.
