A tragic head-on collision in Chisago City has resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy, with two other teens sustaining life-threatening injuries and two more with serious injuries. Alcohol was discovered at the crash site, leading investigators to suspect it may have played a role in the incident. The collision occurred around 2 a.m. at the intersection of Stacy Trail and Ivywood Trail, where Lakes Area police and Chisago County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene. The crash involved two vehicles, a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by a 14-year-old with two 15-year-old passengers, one of whom sadly lost his life at the scene. The remaining occupants of the Camry were seriously injured and transported to Regions Hospital. The other vehicle involved was a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner driven by a 17-year-old with an 18-year-old passenger, both of whom sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to separate medical facilities for treatment.
