
Fatal crash in Chicago's Far South Side; 3 dead, 1 injured per authorities
Three individuals lost their lives and another was injured in a collision on the Far South Side of Chicago early on Sunday morning. The incident occurred on S. Stoney Island Avenue, according to the Chicago Police Department. The crash involved two vehicles, a red Dodge Challenger and a black Dodge Challenger, traveling in opposite directions on the same side of the road when they collided. The 20-year-old male driver of the red car passed away at the scene, while a 20-year-old male passenger was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition. The 21-year-old male driver and the 19-year-old female passenger in the black car also lost their lives in the crash. No additional injuries were reported, and the Major Accidents Unit is currently investigating the incident. The authorities have not released the identities of the victims, and further details about the crash remain unclear.
